This one is quickly making the rounds on the web via just about every gadget blog. We couldn’t resist posting it as well. Natalie, aka “kommodore”, went out and got a birthday tattoo of the Android robot on her wrist. She’s a proponent of open source software, and like most of us probably couldn’t resist the cute little green robot. If I’m not mistaken, this is the first Android tattoo spotted in the wild. Nice choice Natalie!

congratz Natalie u just stole my idea so i guess i am the first male to have an Android tattooed on his shoulder. ;)
Android, like in the android cell phone shit? Crazy. Reminds me of a Mooninite or an ugly doll or something, which I only know of because of my step-daughter. Which just shows how much I dig cell-phones and palm pilots and crap like that, I don't even have a cell yet. To me, the ideal telephone has a dial on it and reaches both my ear and mouth at the same time, though I doubt anybody reading this is old enough to remember what that was like. I suppose this is
kind of like an icon for your generation, though I'm probably not far from your age, it could be a sub-culture thing. For me, Jeremy the bear would be a great icon, or a micronaut. That's not too far fetched, I've thought of tattooing myself with them, just too busy with more personal tatt's first. But seeing how my kid, at fourteen, has played with electronic devices and crap like that since she was small (I saw a toddler proudly displaying an Ipod-touch at the Library the other day. I said "starting her off a bit young, aren't we?") I guess that the crass consumerism and corporate logo aspect of it all shouldn't bother me too much, after all each generation has to find just what thing will stick a total bug up their parents' generation's collective ass…. -SoyBoySigh.
