There’s a good chance you’ve seen the above tattoo of Ryu from Street Fighter somewhere on the internet before. Heck, you might have even seen it on here. However, until recently I could never find out who the owner of this infamous ink was. After months of searching, he was finally found and boy does he have some geeky tattoos!
Everyone, meet Brandon, aka Clix. He’s a rave promoter in Phoenix and has a ton of geeky tattoos. Additionally he’s also had his tongue split by the man himself, Steve Haworth. Let’s take a look at his geeky ink:
First off there’s the other side of his head where Street Fighter counterpart Ken takes up residence. (I wonder if Brandon has a perpetual headache from the battle for his forehead?)
Moving around to the back of his head he has a binary tattoo with the ones done in UV reactive ink. The digits spell out his name.
On his arm he has a Pac-Man branding with an accompanying ghost.
And on his leg is a really nice Pac-Man tattoo.
We’re not done yet! A fan of the UV reactive ink, Brandon also has a set of knuckle tattoos that spell out “GLOW LIFE”. The shot here is when they were still healing. They’re actually invisible until you toss a blacklight on them. Plus he has a triforce on the back of his hand!
Wow, quite the collection. My hat is off to you sir. If you want to know more about Brandon you can check out his site, Clix Bag of Tricks

I imagine the sound was less like BAMF and more like BZZZZZZZZ, but regardless somehow Steff got Nightcrawler inked on her calf. Steff (or steffsteff if you’re on Xbox Live) explains:
I love what he represents, that despite what you look like you can still be a hero and keep your faith regardless of what happens. He’s a total optimist, and is so naive, but he sees only the good in people.
Nightcrawler was inked by Rob at Lucky Lady Tattoo in Richmond, KY.
Steff’s also our Triforce Tuesday gal this week with her back tattoo from Body Art Emporium.
Triforce Tuesday is the result of everybody sending in triforce related tattoos. They’re popular and I want to showcase some of the better ones. If you’ve got a triforce related tattoo, send it in and see if you make the cut for Triforce Tuesday.

Sorry Matt, that’s the first thing that comes to mind whenever I think of the classic NeverEnding Story film. Matt (aka @kwaizy) is the owner of the tattoo above. He’s a big fan of the book, and likes the idea of the interdependence of the two snakes. You know, the whole yin/yang balance sort of thing.
Fun fact, did you know there’s talk of “rebooting” the Neverending Story with a new movie planned for 2012? Rumor has it casting has already started:
Matt’s ink was done at Inner Steel in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Spike sent in his Apple logo/processor/Pisces tattoo on his right bicep. He writes:
A few years ago I got my first Mac, a flat paneled iMac. It turned around my view on computers. It was fun, easy, and intuitive. I got to know the manager at the Apple Store, and eventually worked for Apple for a few years fixing Macs. Everything I learned about computers, my current set of job skills, and a decent part of my whole outlook on life, is due to Apple. Their products have gotten me in touch with technology. Their people have given me a lifetime of skills and contacts. And this tattoo shows that Apple has had a big part in shaping at least this section of my life.

I lost a good portion of 2009 to Fallout 3. I loved the game and spent hours sitting in front of it. I can’t imagine how many hours Max has clocked in with the series since he’s been playing Fallout and Fallout 2 since 1997! He says he has most of the two games memorized.
Max’s tattoo is of the original insignia of the Brotherhood of Steel, a key group in the Fallout video games. He says he got it for a number of reasons. Fallout was one of the first video games he played and it had an impact on his standards for video games. He also believes in the overall philosophy and ideals of the Brotherhood: technology is the salvation of mankind. Oh, and it looks cool. Never get a tattoo unless it looks cool.
His insignia was done at Ink Stop Tattoo in NYC.

Jeff sent in a slew of geeky tattoos, everything from Aqua Teen Hunger Force to Zelda. You see what I did there, eh? A to Z, y’know like the whole alphabet. Only I don’t have a nifty arrow like Amazon does to make a smiley face… Err back to geek tattoos. So Jeff sent in his ink and one of them stood out more than the others. Not only do I love Calvin and Hobbes, but Jeff’s wagon tattoo of the duo was done by… Jeff! That’s right, he tattooed his own geeky self.
Like I said, he’s got a bunch of other tattoos, including Bowser, Boba Fett, and the FOX logo from Metal Gear Solid:

People love Photoshop. I use it almost every day. Chuck Vosburgh probably uses it a lot more than I do though, and I’m sure a bajillion times better. He’s an Adobe Photoshop instructor and must really love the software. He says bikers have their Harley logo tattoos, so he got the Adobe logo tattooed on him! I’m sure Photoshop is a lot quieter than those Harleys that like to blast through my neighborhood while I’m trying to hear what Elder Lyons is saying in Fallout 3. *fistshake*

Not all geeky tattoos have to do with digital stuff, there are still old school analog tattoos out there! Aaron sends in his vacuum tube tattoo from an all valve guitar amplifier and reminds us that “Humans are analog not digital.”
You know, except for that chip in my head that the government is using to monitor my thoughts. There’s no way they could fit a vacuum tube in my head.
