This nicely done tattoo of the Assassin’s Creed logo is on the arm of Cody. It was placed there by Chris Whitney of Straight Edge Tattoos in Tennessee. It’s not the first Assassin’s Creed tattoo I’ve seen, but it’s the best one so far. I like how stylized and interesting the artist has made the logo.
Reader Tattoo Round-Up #11
Time for another dive into the old Geeky Tattoos inbox to round up some of the tattoos readers have sent in.
First up is Jim who shows off his calf tattoo of the Legendary symbol from Halo. He got it done in Vegas at Hart & Huntington.
This one was sent in by Shy, with no explanation.
Jonathan sent in his two geeky tattoos of Darkwing Duck and Toadstool with his Kart from Mario Kart 64. Did you know you can get Darkwing Duck on DVD now?!
Toni’s got a totally accurate tattoo of the TAC2 controller on his arm.

FFXIII L’Cie Tattoo
Have they really made 13 Final Fantasys? (What’s the proper pluralization of “Final Fantasy”?) Geeks love Final Fantasy, it’s true. I remember spending hours in college just watching my roommate play Final Fantasy. Not when I was supposed to be in class y’know, well at least not classes for my major I mean.
Anyways, Christopher is a big fan of Final Fantasy XIII (13 for those of you that don’t speak Roman) and he went out and got a tattoo inspired by it. One of the characters in the game is named Snow, and he has a similar “brand” on his forearm.
Tattoo was done by Sean at Well Rounded Tattoo. As far as we know, Sean isn’t a Fal’Cie, so hopefully we don’t have to worry about Christopher turning into some crystallized monster.

The Second Law of Thermodynamics
Listen up boys, next time you compliment a girl on her geeky tattoo you better know what it means. The geeky girls are working on a “boyfriend filtration system” according to Ivanka, the owner of the above tattoo. She’s a philosophy student who got the second law of thermodynamics (more specifically the version from Rudolf Clausius) tattooed on her wrist. It helps her separate geeky boyfriend material from guys just looking for her number.

Robot Speaks Space Invader
Apparently there a cruise in Sweden that’s dedicated to tattooing, aptly called the “Tattoo Boat“. It’s a two day ride from Stockholm to Finland and back with a focus on “the art, the culture and the lifestyle of tattooing.” Sounds like a fun weekend!
Joakim took the cruise and got this great robot + Space Invader tattoo done by Jef from Boucherie Moderne while on board. Not only did he get a great tattoo, he also scored second place in the “Best of Cruise” competition!

Inverse Square Law Tattoo
Erik Dixon is an Atlanta-based photographer who sent in a shot of his inverse square law tattoo. He writes:
Inverse Square Law is the physics equation for the fall off rate of light radiating from a source point. Something I use every time I shoot. This also applies to gravity and sound. Newton was a smart guy I guess….
If you want to check out Erik’s actual photography, head on over to www.erikdixon.com

Enterprise and Tie Fighter Tattoos
Is that a ship in your pants or are you just happy to see me?
That was bad, I know. Perhaps I should have gone with the one about boldly going where no man had gone before or maybe the one about… err nevermind this is supposed to be a work-safe site. Bad puns and pickup lines aside, check out Mary’s hip spaceship tattoos. (Yes, I went there, quit your groaning)

Steve’s 8-bit Hearts
I’m continuing with the Zelda theme for the week, but we take it old school with Steve’s 8-bit Zelda heart containers today. He got it as a tribute to the original Zelda, “because pixels are close to my heart.” I have to wonder if he’ll slowly black out part of each heart as he gets older.
